I began my career as a Financial Professional in 1992 serving as a Financial Advisor and Institutional Equity and Fixed Income Trader at Merrill Lynch for 12 years. While trading, I worked directly with several Upstate New York banks, Independent Registered Investment Advisors, Mutual Funds and ultra-high net worth clients. Most recently, I established my own firm in 2009 through LPL Financial after having been a Financial Advisor for UBS from 2004 to 2009.
I have over three decades of experience in the Financial Services industry. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional and maintains the Series 7, 24, 63 Securities Licenses and the NY Life, Health, Disability, Long Term Care Insurance & Annuity licenses. In addition, I am a Branch Manager for LPL Financial supervising an office staff of 9.
I’m a veteran of the United States Armed Forces having been Honorably Discharged as a Captain from the US Army in 1991 with 9 years of service. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from Marist College (Poughkeepsie NY) in 1983 and competed in Cross Country and Track & Field at the NCAA Division I level.
As a Financial Advisor, my passion has been centered on helping clients with goal accomplishment, appropriate financial direction and market management with a dependable style. I have extensive experience in many facets of financial planning to include 401k retirement plans, Not for Profit Endowments, professional managed money and mutual fund selection.
I volunteer my time to many causes. One of my recent larger commitments has been to the Notre Dame Retreat House and YMCA where I served for 7 years as a Board Member and Treasurer. I also coached for many years in youth baseball and basketball. My hobbies include golf, snow skiing and running. I resides in Canandaigua NY with my wife Karen. We have three adult sons; Justin, Jordan, Josh and several grandchildren.
